In order to encourage South Africans to recycle at home, school and at work and buy products made with recycled material, Plastics | SA and the packaging industry, has initiated an annual RECYCLING DAY for SOUTH AFRICA 16 September 2011 which falls during Cleanup SA Week - 12-17 September 2011. Its aim is to increase awareness by educating the community about the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling.
